Hiccup

Once again another hiccup is happening.  This time round, the floor tiles I have selected for my living space (i.e. hallways, living and dining rooms) had ran out.

And once again I am given some options to choose.  This is my original selection which is call Minimal Pewter.  I really like the color.
I am given 4 colors to choose from and my favorite right now is Cappuccino.  I think it is the closest to my original selection and took out another of the choice out as it is too dark.  The liaison officer told me Monica Fume can look a bit greenish under different lighting.  I don't quite fancy it as green doesn't seems to fit into my color scheme.
From left to right, Monica Fume, Cappuccino and Whisper Dark Brown.

Not blinded anymore

After thinking and choosing, I ended up with a different selection haha.  Talk about fickle but it was more of an opportunities to open up options.

So here's the final choice (on the right) versus the original (on the left), lighter but fine with me since the carpet and tiles are going to be dark.

Record

4 entries in a day, this must be a record on this blog.  Anyway I found the website of the blind supplier and managed to search for the colors that were recommended.

On the top left hand corner, that's Chantilly, the color I selected originally.  The one on the top right hand corner is call Pita, that's Option 1.  The bottom left hand corner, that's Sandstone, Option2 and the bottom right hand corner, that's Cream (not provided as an option by the builder but I took it out just to compare how all the colors measured out).  Not quite sure if looking at all the colors together is making my choice easier or harder though.

I knew it!

I knew I took a photo of the blind I selected during pre-start but it wasn't showing up in the folder where I stored all the pre-start selections!!! After much investigative work, I finally found it stored in a sub-folder of my holiday folder..hey don't judge me, after all it was a pre-start cum holiday trip!

Here's the previous selection for comparison against the other 2.

Blinded

Got an email from my Client Liaison person today, the blinds I selected for the pre-start is no longer available so I am asked to choose an alternative.  My carpet and tiles are dark and the blinds I previously selected are cream color like - Chantilly is its name.

These are the 2 alternatives provided and photos taken next to the carpet I am installing just for comparison.  I know which one I will be going, are you choosing the same choice as me?

Plastered!

A few days after I got the invoice for the roofing and even when the process was still on-going on the payment, I got slap with another invoice for plastering work.

Plastering sure is ugly right? Patches here and there and all the piping are exposed but loving the look of my walk-in pantry hehe

The builder is definitely moving fast, target date for completion is end of May and it is putting me on panic mode a bit as I have to start finding source for my aircon, insurance, side door, clothesline, letterbox and working with the developer on my landscaping and fencing...arrghhh.

Shelter

I mentioned in the last post I won't be surprised if my roof is up and indeed it is.  Not long after I post the last entry, I was slapped with the bill for the roofing.

Here's my half completed house! Photo taken a day after I post the last entry...very badly taken photo if you asked me, so much smudges.

If you look through my garage back door you would see that my left hand side neighbour has got bricks up...arrghh they are so fast, just 3 weeks ago, they just went slab down!! Curious to know who their builder is?
